Coonawarra

The Menzies Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon 1989

Vintage quality:
An unseasonably mild vintage, with grapes once again harvested at 2 stages to create a mix of grapes earlier in development and grapes with more fully developed flavours.
Cellar guide:
10+ Years
Last tasted:
1991, Simon Adams, Winemaker
Notes:
The assemblage of the two portions has created a wine of lifted red berry Cabernet aromas with toasty American oak. The palate shows lengthened persistence balanced with fine oak tannins. A wine of great depth and character from an unseasonably mild vintage.
