Coonawarra

The Menzies Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon 1993

Vintage quality:
1993 was a frustrating season with regard to volume. We received only about a quarter of the anticipated fruit levels. The diminished volume did have one positive aspect and that was the ratio of leaf to fruit was increased dramatically, increasing the flavour impact of the wine. Awards & Accolades: 1 Gold
Cellar guide:
8-10 Years
Last tasted:
1995, Simon Adams, Winemaker
Notes:
Very dark brick red in colour with warm inviting aromas of black cherry, almost inky in nature with the regional characters of red berry starting to evolve. The palate is firm, focused and rich with the true stamp of a Coonawarra wine.
