Coonawarra

The Menzies Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon 1994

Vintage quality:
After the very poor volume of fruit from 1993, we successfully resurrected the vineyard for 1994 and have made a classic regional wine.
Cellar guide:
4-10 Years
Last tasted:
1997, Simon Adams, Winemaker
Notes:
Deep, dark plum red in colour. The nose is seductive and alluring with sweet plums, spice, chocolate and nougat. Thick and hearty, the palate is very dense and powerful with great extract and length. Reasonably overt fruit and oak tannins at this stage which will ensure great longevity.
