The Octavius Barossa Old Vine Shiraz

Shiraz 1998

Vintage quality:
The 1998 vintage in the Barossa was nothing short of outstanding. Near-perfect growing conditions saw grapes achieve maximum ripeness and flavour.
Cellar guide:
10+ Years
Last tasted:
2000, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
Notes:
The Octavius 1998 is dense red in colour with a complex nose of spice, pepper, fruitcake, coffee bean, violet and vanillin toasty oak. The palate is truly intense with concentrated layers of plum, licorice and black olives balanced by fine-grained tannins. Awards & Accolades: 2 Trophies, 8 Gold
