The Octavius Barossa Old Vine Shiraz

Shiraz 2004

Vintage quality:
Good rains in spring gave way to a dry but cool summer. A long cool autumn followed that allowed each parcel of fruit to be harvested at its optimum flavour development.
Cellar guide:
8-12 Years
Last tasted:
April 2006, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
Notes:
Deep purple red in colour with a nose of plums, prunes, dark fruits and spices combine with coffee and mocha chocolate. The palate is full of depth and intensity. Dark fruits, violets, and floral flavours show in the richness of this wine. Soft, refined tannins give balance and structure. Awards & Accolades: 2 Gold
