The Octavius Barossa Old Vine Shiraz

Shiraz 2012

Vintage quality:
Average conditions through the growing season gave way to mild conditions through ripening, allowing the Shiraz grapes to ripen in ideal conditions and produce fruit with outstanding depth of flavour and concentration.
Cellar guide:
15+++ Years
Last tasted:
June 2016, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
Notes:
Full depth purple red in colour, it opens with aromas of fresh, ripe raspberry and blueberry, then powdery exotic spices, violets, wildflowers and black cherries. It has a plump and harmonious palate - a brooding, dense, dark mouthful of delicious Barossa Shiraz. A supple beauty that isn't about aggressive power.
