The Octavius Barossa Old Vine Shiraz

Shiraz 2015

Vintage quality:
High rainfall in the winter lead into a warm and dry spring, ensuring that the fruit got off to a healthy start. Vines produced smaller bunches and berries with grapes featuring great aromatics and pristine fruit flavours.
Cellar guide:
15+ Years
Last tasted:
October 2018, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
Notes:
A very deep red in colour. Vibrant aromas of dark cherries, aniseed and liquorice, distinctive and seductive with exotic spices and espresso coffee. The dark berry fruit palate is rich and powerful, yet gently evolving, with a classy restrained elegance, displaying silky raspberry, damson plum and sweet blackberry fruits. A wonderfully balanced wine with beautiful tannins.
