Barossa

The Signature Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz

Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz 1989

Vintage quality:
The vintage featured a mild to cool growing season and hot & wet weather, an unusual season due to the hot weather causing flavour maturity to be reached before normal sugar maturity. Awards and Accolades: 2 Gold
Cellar guide:
8-10 years
Last tasted:
November 2003, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
Notes:
Brick red in colour, briary and spice aromas with vanillin oak in the background. A firm, extracted wine that delivers plenty of stewed berry fruit flavours with a sweet mid-palate; the plentiful tannins lead into a drying finish. An "enormous wine" that will "certainly live".
