The Signature Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz

Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz 1996

Vintage quality:
1996 was one of the great growing seasons. With below average rainfall in winter/spring followed by an early cool summer, it was one of the longest growing/ripening seasons on record and a fantastic season for Cabernet. Awards and Accolades: 5 Gold
Cellar guide:
15-20 Years
Last tasted:
November 2003, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
Notes:
Deep dark red in colour with crimson hues. Ripe, jammy fruits on the nose, backed by spicy aromatics and complex smoky oak notes. A sweet, rich and lush textured wine in the mouth with judicious oak treatment that strikes a good balance with the long, layered fruit flavours.
