Barossa

Yalumba Tri-Centenary Barossa Grenache

Grenache 2011

Vintage quality:
This growing season marked the end of the drought with consistent rainfall from start to end. Vigilant winemaking and grape farming through the cooler weather lead to the production of grapes with lifted aromatics and fine natural acidity.
Cellar guide:
5-10 Years
Last tasted:
January 2012, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
Notes:
The wine shows savoury cherry red fruits and complex rustic aromas of exotic powdery spices, white pepper, mushrooms, earth and truffles. A full, rich and juicy wine with a vibrant spicy fruit drive through the mid-palate balanced with fresh acidity and a long grainy tannin finish. A wine with great complexity, individuality and regionality.
