Yalumba Tri-Centenary Barossa Grenache

Grenache 2013

Vintage quality:
The entire growing and vintage season from winter all the way through summer was drier than average. This produced lighter weight Grenache crops that featured grapes of full flavour, freshness and pristine fruit profile.

Last tasted:
December 2013, Kevin Glastonbury, Winemaker
Notes:
Dense red with purple hues. Dark fruits, liquorice spices, wildflower and gamey notes are underpinned with earthy tones that are all brambly and rustic with a herbal savour that references a sense of place. The palate feels perfectly ripe and firm. Red satin textured fruit, succulent with bright acidity, a ferrous minerality and cherry juiciness saturating the stony notes that provide the wine's firm base. Accolades & Awards: 1 Gold
