Yalumba GEN is 100% certified organic meaning we use no chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides in our vineyard and winemaking practices
From the 2022 vintage, all Yalumba GEN wines will be Sustainable Winegrowing Australia (SWA) certified. This means we are committing to a continual sustainable improvement in the vineyard
Yalumba GEN is wild fermented, using natural yeast from the vineyard to ferment our wines
All leftover stalks, seeds and skins from harvest find a second life, being used for under vine mulch
100% of our wastewater is treated onsite and returned to our vineyards through irrigation
Native salt bushes are planted between rows to preserve soil
For every 1 hectare of vineyard that we own, we have at least one hectare of native vegetation promoting natural biodiversity
Yalumba GEN labels are made from post-consumer waste and FSC-certified paper
