Yalumba GEN is 100% certified organic and sustainably made. Our Viognier is full of exotic aromas and complex fruit flavours. A great food wine that pairs perfectly with a variety of international cuisines.
Tasting Note Pale lemon in colour with green hues. An exotic mix of white flowers, ginger and jasmine aromas with hints of apricot and fennel. The palate is creamy, rich and long with flavours of fresh apricot nectar and almond meal, leading to a succulent mid-palate with bright stone fruit flavours and Asian five spice on the finish.
Treatment This wine is certified by the Australian Certified Organic standards and is 100% vegan. It's made without the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides in the vineyard. With very few additions, the wine goes through wild fermentation, using only the natural yeasts present in the vineyard and on grape skins.
Best Enjoyed With Enjoy with red duck curry, Pad Thai or red lentil dhal with spinach.

  • Yalumba GEN is wild fermented, using natural yeast from the vineyard to ferment our wines

  • All leftover stalks, seeds and skins from harvest find a second life, being used for under vine mulch

  • 100% of our wastewater is treated onsite and returned to our vineyards through irrigation

  • Native salt bushes are planted between rows to preserve soil

  • For every 1 hectare of vineyard that we own, we have at least one hectare of native vegetation promoting natural biodiversity

  • Yalumba GEN labels are made from post-consumer waste and FSC-certified paper
