This fresh, zesty and textural style of Chardonnay is sourced from a family estate vineyard high in the Eden Valley, located 545 metres above sea level.
Tasting Note Vibrant aromas of white peach, pineapple and melon on a fresh bread background. With a little time in the glass aromas of roasted almonds, nectarine and flint emerge. This medium to full-bodied Chardonnay is fresh and minerally, supported by tangy natural acidity with a persistent finish.
Terroir Elegant and expressive with aromas of white stone fruit, lemon zest, jasmine and nougat, layered with notes of flinty minerality and lightly toasted almonds. A moreish and savoury interplay of tropical fruit, locquat and vanilla custard. Crisp acidity provides freshness, balanced by creamy textures. The finish is long and complex, with nuances of hazelnut and a touch of vanilla.
Treatment 50% of the blend was matured in French oak barriques for 10 months, 15% new, balance 1–3 year old oak.
